in , , ,

UVA Health System Center for Diabetes Technology seeks adults between the ages of 18-80 who have type 2 diabetes to participate in a clinical research study. Participants need to be currently using a Dexcom G6 Continuous Glucose Monitor (CGM).

The purpose of this study is to gather data that will be used to develop a future web-based application that will help doctors take better care of people living with type 2 diabetes. This study will ask for the collection of data that is generated as a part of the participants normal health care.

This study will involve a screening appointment that will take about 1 hour to complete and weekly check-in visits for four weeks. Study participants will be asked to record some information about their insulin use and collect about 30 days of data obtained from your Dexcom G6 Continuous Glucose Monitor (CGM) data. Study duration is approximately 30 days (5 visits total). The screening visit and check-in visits may be completed in person, telephone, or videoconferencing.

Study participants may need a hemoglobin A1c blood test that will be provided free of charge. Compensation up to $200.
