On behalf of Breakthrough T1D and the people we serve, thank you to all those who generously volunteered, attended, and supported Saturday night’s Dream Gala! This event is on track to raise over $825,000 to move Breakthrough T1D one step closer to achieving a world without type 1 diabetes.

This year’s theme was centered around the board game Clue and attendees were a part of Breakthrough T1D’s search for a “Clue to a Cure”!

The 2018 Breakthrough T1D Dream Gala honored Mr. Dan Fisher.  This Year’s event Chair was Mrs. Meredith Coors. Fund A Cure Chairs were Mindy and Jason Buehler. Corporate Chair was Bryan Berkowitz. Auction Chairs were Dick Cohen and Kathy Hughes.

Those who attended the sold-out 2018 Breakthrough T1D Dream Gala presented by Ball Corporation enjoyed drinks, provided by Patron and Southern Glazers Wine & Spirits, and a program hosted by emcee Greg Dutra that featured Breakthrough T1D-funded researcher Dr. Brigitte Frohnert of the Barbara Davis Center.  Dr. Frohnert shared how important Breakthrough T1D funding was to launching her career and to her on-going research. The program also included Breakthrough T1D’s “local celebrities” – the Youth Ambassadors! – whose stories underscored the important message of the night. Guests also enjoyed an After-Party featuring a Cigar Bar, hosted by Smoker Friendly, a milkshake bar hosted by Patron and Bonnie Brae; and live music!
