Breakthrough T1D One Walk Colorado is returning this fall and there are many ways you can join in the fun! Either walk your way on November 6 … or join us for a Breakthrough T1D Colorado Community Event!

OPTION 1:
Missing that in-person connection? Breakthrough T1D is hosting TWO T1D Community Days this fall! T1D Community Days are NOT Breakthrough T1D One Walks, but they are an opportunity to bring your team together and enjoy a day surrounded by our Colorado T1D community. You can earn a free ticket for every $500 raised through Breakthrough T1D One Walk Colorado OR you can purchase discounted tickets to both events for $15.

• September 26 at the Denver Zoo: Join Breakthrough T1D at the Denver Zoo on Sunday, September 26 from 10am-2pm. Get decked out in Breakthrough T1D blue or Breakthrough T1D One Walk gear and get ready to see your T1D community! Be sure to spot Floyd’s 99 “Spirit Squad” who will be waiting to greet you in the park.
• Saturday, October 2 at the Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC: Join Breakthrough T1D for a T1D community night at the Colorado Springs Switchbacks (minor league soccer)! You don’t have to be a soccer fan to sit in our Breakthrough T1D section and connect with other members of our T1D community. Wear your Breakthrough T1D blue or Breakthrough T1D One Walk gear to cheer on the Switchbacks as they take on El Paso Locomotive!

If you’ve already earned your free ticket(s) for a Breakthrough T1D community event, Breakthrough T1D staff will be reaching out to help you redeem it.

Please note, the deadline to earn tickets is Thursday, September 23, 2021. Breakthrough T1D cannot issue refunds for either community event. Tickets are nontransferable.

OPTION 2:
Walk Your Way on November 6! Gather your friends, family, coworkers and celebrate Walk Day your way! Take a walk in the park, hike up a mountain, host a backyard BBQ… the sky is the limit! Get decked out in Breakthrough T1D gear, bring noisemakers, paint your faces blue– the most important thing is to have fun. Set a mileage goal and log your miles using the Strava app or by manually entering the miles you’ve walked, ran or hiked into your Participant Center.

Be sure to share how you’re celebrating Walk Day using hashtag #JDRFOneWalk.

This fall, we have a variety of incentives you can earn as you go:

• $100 Breakthrough T1D One Walk T-Shirt: Every individual walker who raises $100+ can receive a 2021 Breakthrough T1D One Walk t-shirt. Shirts will be shipped directly to individuals who hit this benchmark.
• $500+ Prize Catalog: Every individual walker who raises $500+ will receive a fundraising rewards catalog to redeem a prize of their choice. Reward catalogs are delivered electronically 4-6 weeks after Breakthrough T1D One Walk on November 6.
• $1,000 V1P: Every individual walker who raises $1,000+ will earn V1P status and receive this year’s exclusive dry wicking short sleeve shirt, badge and lanyard shipped directly to your door.
• $1,500 Mile of Hope: When your team raises $1,500, you’re eligible to receive your very own custom Mile of Hope yard sign, delivered to your door the week of Walk!
