Noah was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes eight years ago at age five.  The teen lives with his family in Essex County, NJ.   In honor of his becoming a Bar Mitzvah, Noah asked for donations to Breakthrough T1D and the Israel Initiative in lieu of gifts.  The family used simple fundraising: Paperless Post to send out his invitation and included a personal note from Noah with a link to Noah’s Team Breakthrough T1D website, asking guests to donate to Breakthrough T1D/Israel Initiative in lieu of gifts.  This simple request raised $9,500!!
