2017 Government Day

in ,

From Sunday, February 26 – Wednesday, March 1, Breakthrough T1D Advocacy staff and volunteers traveled to Washington, D.C. to advocate for Breakthrough T1D’s legislative, health policy, and regulatory priorities on Capitol Hill.

Breakthrough T1D Advocates help build and sustain critical support for type 1 diabetes (T1D) research funded by the Federal Government by raising awareness among Members of Congress of the financial, medical and emotional costs of the disease.

Our chapter Advocacy Chair Barbara Feinstein, Advocacy Chair Clare Cukier and Advocacy Team Member Michelle Green spent three days storming Capitol Hill to educate Federal lawmakers about the importance of continued type 1 diabetes (T1D) research funding.
