The New Jersey Metro & Rockland County Young Leadership Committee (YLC) is a direct extension of the chapter and an unstoppable force in the fight against type 1 diabetes (T1D). The YLC is a group of young professionals in their 20s and 30s who share Breakthrough T1D’s mission & passion for creating a world without T1D. Our members have unique ties to T1D – many live with it, others are connected through friends or family and some simply have a passion for the cause. The common thread: we all want to turn type one into type none.

The YLC provides this demographic of young professionals with a sense of community where they can focus on their philanthropic efforts, meet others, and take part in the planning of several social functions aimed at supporting T1D research.

Our Virtual YLC kickoff meeting will be on Monday, February 19 at 7 pm. Followed by an in-person Happy Hour kickoff happening on Saturday, February 24 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at 10th and Willow in Hoboken, NJ. Friends, significant others, and siblings are more than welcome to tag along!
