In their leadership roles, they connect colleagues and business associates to the Breakthrough T1D mission, rally Walk teams within their workplaces, and expand our reach by recruiting more participants and supporters for type 1 diabetes (T1D) research. Shashi says, “Over the years, I’ve had many friends and colleagues with type 1 diabetes. I’ve learned from them the daily realities and sacrifices this condition requires. Often, it strikes young children, permanently changing theirs and their family’s lives. I’m honored and excited to stand with this community to continue raising awareness. Whether you walk, donate, volunteer, or simply cheer from the sidelines, every show of support makes a profound difference.”
