We are scheduling Breakthrough T1D Kids Walks for the 2015-2016 school year!

The Breakthrough T1D Kids Walk to Cure Diabetes program is an educational, in-school fundraising program with two goals: to educate students about type 1 and type 2 diabetes and the importance of a healthy lifestyle, and to provide them with an opportunity to make a difference by raising money for type 1 diabetes (T1D).  Through their efforts, students learn tolerance and empathy for others and raise awareness of T1D in the community.

Last year alone more than 400,000 students across the country raised more than $4 million through Breakthrough T1D Kids Walks!

Educators love our program because it’s easy to implement and has amazing benefits!

• Students gain basic knowledge about type 1 and type 2 diabetes, healthy eating/exercise, and the importance of community service
• Your school can receive 10 percent of the money raised to be used on equipment, books, field trips or anything else your school may need!
• Our turn-key program requires minimal time from staff and teachers
• Students can earn fun Difference Maker Awards and your school can earn a recognition banner
• Kids Walk gets kids moving! If you already have a Kids Walk scheduled at your school, Breakthrough T1D can recommend other fun, physical events for your students
