Join the Breakthrough T1D Youth Ambassador Program!

On behalf of Breakthrough T1D, we are excited to invite you to the Breakthrough T1D Youth Ambassador (YA) Program! This fantastic program teaches children and teens to advocate for and raise awareness of type 1 diabetes (T1D) in their community. YAs will gain confidence in sharing their T1D story, demonstrate leadership skills, and collaborate with T1D peers while advancing the mission of Breakthrough T1D. Plus, it’s a lot of fun!

The YA Program is open to children living with type 1 diabetes, between Kindergarten and 12th grade, as well as their siblings. This inclusive approach helps foster understanding and support within families and the larger community.

Youth Ambassador Orientation Dates and Locations

• Oklahoma City: Tuesday, January 21, 6:00-7:30 pm at Main Event OKC
• Dallas: Saturday, January 25, 11:00 am-1:00 pm at Main Event Plano
• Fort Worth: Sunday, January 26, 2:00-4:00 pm at Main Event FW South
• Tulsa: Tuesday, January 28, 6:00-7:30 pm at Main Event Tulsa
• Virtual: Tuesday, February 4, 5:30-7:00 pm via Zoom

We encourage both new and returning YAs to sign up for orientation. This is an excellent opportunity to learn more about the program, meet fellow ambassadors, and start the year with energy and enthusiasm for making a difference in the T1D community.
