Recognized as one of the premier fundraising events in Atlanta, the 22^nd annual Hope Galawill take place at the Intercontinental Hotel on May 6^th (note: the event is not on Mother’s Day weekend this year).  The Hope Gala is the Georgia Chapter’s signature spring event. Chairing the 2017 Breakthrough T1D Hope Gala is Dr. Bruce Bode and Cathy Wood.  Bruce Bode is a partner at Atlanta Diabetes Associates. Receiving the 2017 Barbara & Duke Roos Living & Giving Award are long-time Breakthrough T1D supporters, Donna and Andy Cash.

The elegant black-tie evening features a fabulous cocktail party, seated dinner and spectacular silent and live auctions. The evening’s excitement culminates during Fund A Cure where 100% of the proceeds go directly towards diabetes research.  To conclude the evening, guests can celebrate the night’s successes at the gala after-party featuring light bites, cocktails and music by Shimmer Band.
