Spring is officially here, which means that the Breakthrough T1D Georgia Chapter is in full preparations for the highly anticipated 22^nd annual Hope Gala on May 6^th at the InterContinental Hotel.  Once again, our dedicated gala leadership and steadfast gala committee have been actively soliciting sponsors, donations and auction items in hopes of raising $2 million for Breakthrough T1D. This year, the gala will be hosted by Vinnie Politan, news anchor for 11Alive, and chaired by Cathy Wood and Bruce Bode, MD and Carolina and Tom Branch, MD (all pictured below). As you can see in the photo, not only have they been hard at work planning the event, they have had a little fun along the way. There is possibly a surprise or two up their sleeves for the gala audience!

The Hope Gala is the marquee event for the Breakthrough T1D Georgia Chapter featuring a cocktail reception, seated dinner and amazing silent and live auctions. This year our auction chairs, Cristina and Quincy Jones, have set the auction bar even higher procuring priceless and unique experiences, such as a 7-night stay for 2 people on the elite Necker Island personally owned by Sir Richard Branson as well as a Napa weekend for 2 people with a stay at the beautiful Meadowood resort and full access to the exclusive Robb Report Car of the Year event. For those attending the gala this year, the fun does not end once the program is complete. Gala guests are invited to stay and celebrate the evening’s successes at our lively after-party also held in the InterContinental Hotel. Cocktails and late-night bites will be offered, and guests will also enjoy music and dancing courtesy of the band, Skate Rink Jukebox. New this year – an interactive photo booth to capture your evening moments!
