Children’s Congress and Outreach Updates
Congratulations to our 2019 Children’s Congress Delegates!
Georgia has 5 Children’s Congress Delegates ready to go to DC and advocate for themselves as well as all those with T1D! T1D siblings, MJ (10), Ty (8) and Catelin (7) are joining Hayden (16) and Malakai (10) and traveling to Washington, DC July 8th -10th to participate in Breakthrough T1D’s Children’s Congress. There, they will have an opportunity to learn about important legislation that funds T1D research, about protecting pre-existing conditions as well as have time with their representatives to teach them about life with T1D and what they can do in DC to make life better for the millions living with T1D every day. They will also get to meet professional athletes, actors, social media influencers and other T1D Role Models while in D.C. Make sure to follow the Breakthrough T1D Georgia Instagram page during July 8th, 9th and 10th where our CC19 Delegates will be taking over our Social Media!
