A Message from the Executive Director: 2023 Year In Review
in General
As I reflect on 2023, I am overwhelmed with appreciation for our chapter community. The dedication and passion of our chapter members has truly made a difference in advancing our mission to cure, prevent, and treat type 1 diabetes (T1D). Through the hard work and commitment of our volunteers, donors, and supporters, we have been able to make significant strides in research and advocacy. You can read more on these advancements in JDRF’s Top Type 1 Diabetes Advances of Fiscal Year 2023.
We were thrilled to see so many new and familiar faces at our events, and we hope that everyone had an enjoyable time. We believe that building connections and fostering a sense of belonging is essential to our organization’s success. Thank you to all who participated in our Dream Gala, One Walk, Ride to Cure Diabetes, Advocacy and Community Engagement events throughout the year. We are grateful for everyone who attended and contributed and look forward to seeing you all again soon. Our chapter is stronger because of your support!
As we look forward to the future, we are excited to continue our work together as a community to support and improve the lives of those living with type 1 diabetes. Every day, Breakthrough T1D is fighting to improve the lives of people living with T1D – for more progress, more advancements, and for better access. Your support and generosity move cures forward so that one day, we can live in a world where type 1 diabetes no longer exists.
