Thanks to you, we’re walking toward a world without T1D!

Our 2016 One Walk at Roanoke’s Elmwood Park was a great success. This year we came very close to meeting our goal in raising $326,873. With a current total of $309,524 we are 95% there, and are working hard to get our chapter to 100%. We hope you’ll continue to fundraise so we can bridge the gap to our goal!
Just one week after the Greater Blue Ridge One Walk we received the groundbreaking news of the FDA approval of the artificial pancreas system—the first ever approved to automate the dosing of insulin to reduce high blood sugar levels.
This historic achievement is the culmination of a decade of partnership, collaboration, funding and advocacy. It is a testament to why Breakthrough T1D exists… to accelerate ways to cure, prevent, and treat type one diabetes.
Please know that you are making a difference in the lives of all people with type one diabetes.
