Breakthrough T1D Greater Blue Ridge Internships Available
Breakthrough T1D Greater Blue Ridge has exciting Social Media & Event Internship opportunities available for Summer 2017 and Fall 2017. These positions are ideal for undergraduate students seeking experience in the non-profit sector, including event-planning, marketing and fundraising.
Breakthrough T1D is a non-profit whose primary purpose is fundraising for type 1 diabetes (T1D) research. To raise these funds, Breakthrough T1D Greater Blue Ridge holds two big fundraising events a year, ONE WALK and The Star City Denim & Diamonds Gala, along with various other smaller scale events. The successful intern will help with anything and everything related to these events, from planning and logistics, to event day production.
As many as three million Americans are currently living with T1D. When you take into consideration the family members and friends who are also affected by T1D, the numbers are astronomical. Breakthrough T1D Greater Blue Ridge wants to make every effort to reach those affected by T1D in our area. Assistance with social media will help us develop strategies to increase our reach across social media platforms.
