The Breakthrough T1D Mid-Atlantic Chapter is thrilled to announce our leadership for its 2025 annual Real Estate Games. This highly anticipated event will take place on June 5, 2025, at the St. James in Springfield, VA. The Real Estate Games bring together commercial real estate professionals for a day of friendly competition, team building, and fundraising to support critical T1D research.

Strong leadership is key to the success of the Games, and this year, we are proud to announce Sam Gurowitz and Suzi Danziger as Co-Chairs for the event. Together, they bring a unique blend of industry experience, competitive spirit, and a passion for philanthropy to help make the event unforgettable. They will be working alongside Andy Eichberg, Managing Director at Stream Realty Partners, who serves as the Honorary Chair, to make this event the most successful one yet.

Sam Gurowitz, Vice President at Korth Construction, has been with the company since high school, rising through the ranks to become an integral leader. With his exceptional attention to detail and strong relationships with the subcontractors and clients, Sam is known for navigating complex projects with precision and efficiency. His commitment to excellence extends beyond the office, as he brings his competitive nature and dedication to the Real Estate Games. For Sam, the Games are an opportunity to have fun while making a tangible difference in the lives of those affected by Type 1 Diabetes.

“The funds we raise at the Real Estate Games support groundbreaking research that will ultimately help find a cure for T1D. I’m honored to be part of this amazing event and look forward to working with our community to make a real impact,” says Gurowitz.

Suzi Danziger, Business Development Manager at DAVIS Construction and Co-Chair for the 2025 Real Estate Games, brings both expertise and enthusiasm to the position. With years of experience in the real estate industry, Suzi is a dedicated leader and passionate philanthropist. Over the past two years, she has played a crucial role in the success of the Real Estate Games, having co-chaired the Team Captains Committee. Her involvement has been essential to the games’ continued growth. Her commitment to the T1D cause is matched only by her drive to inspire others to get involved and make a difference. Suzi has a long track record of success in both her professional career and her charitable work, and she is determined to break fundraising records this year.

“Type 1 Diabetes impacts so many lives, and I believe the real estate industry has the power to drive change and support critical research. The Real Estate Games are not only a fun opportunity to connect with colleagues, but they’re also an essential part of the effort to find a cure for T1D,” says Danziger.

Now in its 36th year, the Breakthrough T1D Real Estate Games have become a cornerstone event for the commercial real estate community. With the generous support of sponsors, participants, and volunteers, the event has raised millions of dollars for T1D research. This year’s event promises to be the most exciting yet, with a variety of sporting activities designed to encourage camaraderie and friendly competition, all while advancing critical work being done to find a cure for Type 1 Diabetes.

We invite commercial real estate professionals and industry leaders to join us in making this year’s Real Estate Games a record-breaking success. Together, we can make a lasting impact on the lives of those living with Type 1 Diabetes and bring us one step closer to a cure.
