Walk Day is a special day for multiple reasons. It’s the most special, we think, for those who have T1D. For this reason, we like to spotlight those living with T1D along our Walk route. We hope that you’ll participate in this fun program!

We are giving our families the opportunity to create their own sign to spotlight their T1D’s. These signs are meant to highlight those we Walk for – show their personality, favorite things, talents, etc. Make them feel special at the Walk!

To participate in this program, simply pick up a blank sign* from one of our specified pick-up/drop off locations, help your T1D decorate the sign to their taste and drop off at one of the same locations prior to Walk Day**.  Signs will be located in a BLUE or GREY plastic Rubbermaid bin, usually on the porch of the home (or right within the office).  Cell numbers are listed for texting confirmation of delivery (if you’re worried about the receipt of your sign). FOR EASE OF DISPLAY, PLEASE DESIGN YOUR SIGN IN LANDSCAPE (NOT PORTRAIT) FORMAT.

If you are unable to get to a pickup location prior to the due date, or have other issues with getting a sign turned in prior to Walk Day, please contact Stacey at the Breakthrough T1D office (801-736-8581) to make alternative arrangements!

*We are asking that you use our sign stock to make sure there is uniformity and we can adequately display the signs on Walk Day with our hardware.

**Please make sure to deliver your completed sign prior to Walk Day so that we are able to get them on the route.  Please do not just bring your sign the morning of the Walk – we will be unable to guarantee placement for late arrivals.
