TypeOneNation Summit is Coming to Utah!

in ,

The Breakthrough T1D Mountain West Chapter is excited to gather for a time of education, inspiration and connection.

TypeOneNation Summit will be coming to Sandy, UT on the morning of Saturday, November 11 at the Megaplex Theatres located at Jordan Commons!

We invite all individuals living with type 1 diabetes (T1D), as their families and friends, for an opportunity to celebrate National Diabetes Awareness Month (NDAM) and to learn more about who Breakthrough T1D is and how we serve the greater T1D community. Hear talks from local experts and leaders in the T1D community as they discuss different topics affecting all ages and stages of T1D. Keynote presentations and breakout session topics will include research updates; going back to school; and physical and mental health, all from the lens of life with T1D. In the spirit of NDAM, there will also be ample opportunities to share your experiences with T1D and to hear from folks who never let T1D hold them back.

New this year is Kids Camp and Teen Time, programming tailored specifically to youth and teens living with T1D (and their siblings and friends!). Kids Camp will serve youth in grades kindergarten through 7th grade, and Teen Time will serve teens in grades 8th through 12th. Parents and caregivers, make sure to reserve the correct amount of applicable tickets upon registering if you’d like to enjoy breakout sessions child-free.

We are grateful to our national industry partners for making TypeOneNation Summit possible at our chapter. If you want to learn more about our partners, please make sure to visit our vendor exhibition on event day.

In addition to our industry partners, we are excited to feature local organizations dedicated to helping those living with T1D. Breakthrough T1D volunteers will also be in attendance to talk about some of the programs and resources available to the T1D community.

To keep up to date on our programming details and to register for your (free!) spot, please visit our event page.

If you have any questions, please reach out to Andrea Santoyo at asantoyo@BreakthroughT1D.org.

Join us to learn about life with T1D from those who get it!
