On Friday, November 17, 2023, some of Breakthrough T1D Upstate New York’s most dedicated supporters in the Capital Region came together at Glen Sanders Mansion in Scotia, NY to honor Tom Burke and The Burke Companies. Thanks to our attendees, Partners, and Fund a Cure donors, this event raised an incredible $530,000 for Breakthrough T1D and our mission.

Tom Burke is not only a great entrepreneur & philanthropist in the Capital Region, he is a dedicated supporter of Breakthrough T1D in honor of his beloved sister, Francine Burke.

Francine was our 2023 Fund a Cure Presenter at the Soiree and shared her incredible story of living with type 1 diabetes (T1D) since the early 1970s. Francine has lived through all of the major advancements in diabetes care that Breakthrough T1D has helped fund since its founding.
