(On river, across the street from Everbank Field) Enter Metro Park at Gate 2.

PARKING: Free parking has been reserved for Breakthrough T1D Walk participants in lots J, F, and M at Everbank Field.  (Note: If you are a V1P Walker and have received a special parking pass, you will look for Lot K, near Gate Q)

** Allow plenty of time for parking. One Spark will be taking place at Everbank Field Saturday as well.

WALK ROUTE (3 miles with a 1 mile option)
If you or a loved one have T1D, it’s always a good idea to bring diabetes supplies with you during the Walk. However, if you are experiencing a low blood sugar along the route, you can ask for a juice at water stations. Inside Metro Park, you can visit First Aid if needed.

PET CARE: In consideration of other guests, if bringing a crowd friendly dog, please keep them on a leash and be prepared to clean up after your pet along the route or inside Metro Park. Please visit the Pet Pit Stop inside Metro Park in the center of the field for water and treats.

TURNING IN MONEY ON WALK DAY: On Walk day, check-in/registration will open at 8:00 a.m. This is where you will go if you have any money to turn in, have not yet registered, or need to pick up a Breakthrough T1D t-shirt ticket if you’ve raised $100 or more. (T-shirt tickets may be redeemed at the t-shirt tent) Check-in/registration will be located directly inside the entrance of Metro Park and will be marked with signs. Please make sure to turn in all monies BEFORE Walk starts, as registration will close when walk starts.
On Walk day it’s very important that envelopes at registration are filled out completely. This will ensure the proper Walker is credited and the money collected counts to your team.  Data provided on the envelope will be critical for the data processing center that will be entering your donations onto your walker pages.

Want to win $10,000? Don’t forget to make your Birdies for Charity guess on the back of your walker envelopes.

TURNING IN MONEY PRIOR TO WALK DAY: We request that if you are turning in money to the Breakthrough T1D office before the Walk, please do so by Wednesday, April 4th or BEFORE. Staff will not be at the office on Friday, April 6th to collect your money.

(When turning in money, make sure to note on the envelope or check/cash donation which walker should receive credit and what the team name is, if applicable!)

Unconfirmed Gifts Handling: If you have entered your donations as unconfirmed gifts on your Walk Participant site and have not turned the monies in yet to the Breakthrough T1D Office, please do so by Wednesday, April 4th in order to have them confirmed in the system. You can still turn in your “unconfirmed” gifts on Walk day, but as a heads up, all unconfirmed gifts will be deleted in the system on Monday morning, April 9th. These will still be credited to your team when received, but will just not show any more as unconfirmed on your page.

** Also, don’t forget that with any donation of $20 or more, you can participate in the Birdies for Charity program! Click here for more info and be sure to provide us with your guess on how many birdies will be made in THE PLAYERS and also as a tie breaker, how many balls will go into the water. Don’t miss this opportunity to help Breakthrough T1D “win” big and your chance to win a prize of $5,000 as well!

Additional Walk Day Participation Info:
