Cast your vote for Kaci Borchgardt who made it to the top 10 finalists in the “Our Everyday Heroes” Race Car Design Contest for Breakthrough T1D, hosted by Motorcraft/Quick Lane Tire and Auto Centers!

Voting for these top 10 finalists is open now through June 6 (noon EDT).

Pick your favorite Breakthrough T1D-themed coloring scheme for a professional drag racing car and vote by making a donation to Breakthrough T1D. Each entry was submitted by a young artist with T1D, between the ages of 5 and 18. Your donation will be credited to the child’s Breakthrough T1D Walk team, raising critical funds for T1D research.

Best of all, the contest winner will travel to see his or her design featured on the Motorcraft and Quick Lane Racing Ford Shelby Mustang Funny Car driven by Breakthrough T1D friend Bob Tasca III at the Mile High NHRA Nationals at Bandimere Speedway in Denver, Colorado, July 18–20, 2014.

The winner will be announced on Friday, July 18, after a review and selection by a committee made up of Breakthrough T1D and Motorcraft/Quick Lane Tire and Auto Centers representatives.  For additional detailed information about the contest, please refer to the official Rules and Guidelines.

So, please cheer your winning T1D kid to victory with a vote, and speed our progress toward the finish line for T1D.
