Our 3^rd Annual Breakthrough T1D TypeOneNation Summit on Saturday, December 2^nd was a tremendous success!  We had over 250 attendees who came out and took part in this unique day of T1D education and community outreach. Many thanks to our guest speakers – Dr. Steven Ponder, FBI Special Agent Caroline Marshall and Stacey Simms, host of the award-winning podcast, Diabetes Connections.  We truly appreciate their taking the time to travel to Tampa and help educate our local T1D community!  We would also like to thank all of our guest speakers who generously donated their time and expertise to host informative break-out sessions, including Craig Bobik, Bobb Hart, Juliana Hite, Dr. Nicole Johnson, Michele Laine, Suzanne McLay, Maureen Murray, Dr. Jessica Pierce, Janet Rodriguez and Dr. Laura Smith.  With their help, our guests were educated on many aspects of T1D including diet, exercise, family stress, maximizing doctor visits, pump technology, social media, transitioning to college and more!
